CAR SHOW?

Car lovers got an eyeful of polished paint and sparkling chrome at the 6th annual HART Horsepower Classic Car Show July 11 in West Salem.
About 70 cars were on display, including the Best in Show winner – a stunning 1947 Buick Super convertible in burgundy (of course) and owned by Rod and Lyn Proaps of Dallas.
The car show is a fundraiser for Horses Adaptive Riding & Therapy at West Hill Stables & Vineyards in West Salem. HART is an 11-year-old non-profit organization that helps people ages 4 to 82 with physical and neurodiverse issues, using horses as the treatment. HART operates out of the vineyard site on Orchard Heights Road, which is owned by Myrna and Jim Gulick. Myrna helped set up HART after her grandson, who has cerebral palsy, received horse therapy.
