SREA is a Non-Profit Public Charity 501(c)3 established in August 2024, ID#6095875.
Salem Retired Educators Association (SREA) invites retired educators to join this social and philanthropic organization.
SREA encourages retired educators from all levels of service to gather monthly. Their primary goal is to promote a volunteering community and raise funds for their scholarship fund, supporting graduating high school seniors in the Salem-Keizer School District. Through our efforts, we have been able to provide numerous scholarships and support the education of many students in our community.
One of their monthly fundraisers is Bunco, and members play at a variety of homes on the first Wednesday of each month. All money raised is used toward scholarships.
SREA members volunteer and support The Criterion School, which is housed at The State Fairgrounds and is open to the public during the State Fair each year.
Currently, SREA meets at Center 50+ on the fourth Wednesday of the month @2-4 p.m. Retired educators and community members who wish to support SREA and our projects are invited to attend.
