This June, The Enlighten Healing Collective in West Salem will welcome community members into the Lantern Room for an afternoon of rest, reflection, and gentle healing through the Rays of Light Reiki Circle led by Nadine Schmidt of Wise Moon Healing Sun.
The June gathering, titled “JOY: Finding Play & Delight in Everyday Life,” will take place Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in an intimate small-group setting designed to encourage relaxation, reconnection, and emotional renewal through intuitive guidance, guided meditation, and Reiki energy healing.
Schmidt is a certified Usui Reiki Ryoho/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Practitioner who offers Reiki sessions in West Salem and online. In addition to her Reiki Master training, she is also trained in trauma-informed Reiki practices and holds certifications in both Animal Reiki and the Let Animals Lead® method of animal Reiki. Her approach centers on the belief that as individuals heal themselves, healing naturally extends outward into their relationships, communities, and daily life.
“Healing through Reiki helps us reconnect to our true nature,” Schmidt shared, “inspiring us to move forward with renewed energy and momentum for what we hope for in the future.” During the Reiki Circle, participants will settle into a comfortable reclined position while Reiki is shared with the group. Some participants may also receive brief individual hands-on or no-touch treatment based on personal preference. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to remain seated upright.
“In a time when so many people are carrying anxiety, division, and emotional exhaustion, creating spaces for joy, rest, and authentic connection feels more important than ever,” said Destree Thompson, owner of The Enlighten Healing Collective. “Joy is not frivolous — it’s restorative. Gatherings like this remind us that healing can happen gently, in community, and in connection with ourselves and one another.”
The gathering reflects the larger mission of The Enlighten Healing Collective: creating welcoming spaces in West Salem where healing, creativity, self-discovery, and community can thrive together.
Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket and arrive 15 minutes early to settle in comfortably. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to remain seated. Space is limited to seven participants, and pre-registration is required. The cost is $25.
