Since 1965, Riviera Christian School has been providing students with a strong foundation in faith, character, and academics. For more than 60 years, the Salem-based school has partnered with families to help students grow spiritually, academically, and personally through a Christ-centered approach to education. Today, Riviera is expanding that mission through the launch of Riviera Christian Academy International (RCAI), a new online learning program serving students in grades 3-12.
RCAI was created to meet the growing demand for flexible, high-quality educational options while maintaining the biblical foundation and academic standards that have long been part of the Riviera experience. Through the online academy, students can access a Christian education from anywhere while remaining connected to a supportive learning community.
One of the things that has always set Riviera apart is its commitment to educating the whole child. In addition to strong academics, the school places a high value on character development, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and spiritual growth. Teachers work closely with students and their families to ensure each child is challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
RCAI offers several pathways for students and families in grades 3-12. Students can participate in a fully online Christian education program while receiving individualized academic support and guidance. High school students can work toward graduation while also earning college credit through Riviera’s partnership with Corban University. Students receive academic guidance and support to help them prepare for college, career, and life after high school. The academy also offers options for homeschool families seeking full-time enrollment, hybrid learning opportunities, or curriculum support.
For many families, online education provides opportunities that might not otherwise be available. Students living in rural communities, families serving overseas, homeschool students, and those seeking greater flexibility can benefit from a program that combines online learning with Christian values and academic accountability.
While RCAI utilizes modern technology, it remains rooted in the same values that have guided Riviera Christian School for generations. Integrity, flexibility, family, and perseverance continue to shape the school’s educational philosophy. Staff members work to build meaningful relationships with students and families while creating an environment where learners can thrive both academically and spiritually.
Community has always been an important part of the Riviera experience. Students receive encouragement, support, and prayer throughout their educational journey. That same commitment to connection and care remains at the heart of RCAI as it seeks to serve students and families across the country and around the world.
School leaders view RCAI as a natural extension of Riviera’s long-standing mission. By combining a strong educational foundation with the flexibility of online learning, Riviera Christian Academy International is helping make Christ-centered education accessible to more students than ever before.
As Riviera Christian School looks to the future, it remains committed to the values that have guided the school since 1965, while embracing new opportunities to serve families beyond the Salem community. Through RCAI, Riviera is continuing its mission of preparing students for success in education, in life, and in their walk with Christ.
